My first art trade with Cantatus Promise of her new character Alchemy!
Going into this, I knew it was going to be a great challenge. I've always wanted to do a pegasus in flight, as the only two others I've done were either sitting on a cloud or walking on the ground.
But oh my god I'd forgotten how much work it is to detail wings. I had to take a few breaks because my wrist was killing me. I ended up having to alter the wing markings slightly, as the original
design was incredibly difficult to draw onto the wingtips when they were spread like that. So instead I just made them a larger version of the face marking. This piece ended up with almost twice
the layers I usually have, and most of that was just getting all of the different color changes in order.
